A Beginners Guide To The Isle Of Man

by Anne Middleton, on January 7th, 2016

If you’re dreaming of Celts and Vikings and don’t want to go to the usual tourist haunts, consider a trip to the Isle of Man.  Equidistant from England, Ireland and Scotland, the isle is the ancestral home of the Manx people.  Let’s visit this charming island in some marvelous Manx-inspired shoes.

First of all, you will need to wear UGGs to the Isle of Man to celebrate the Manx Loaghtan sheep which is a breed native to the island.  It’s famed for its wool and its meat if you like to eat lamb, is considered a delicacy.   However, these sheep are an endangered breed, with only 1500 ewes in the breeding stock.   Celebrate all things sheepy and don’t be sheepish about shopping online with our codes for UGGs for great shoes like the Alena slipper.

Locomotive enthusiasts will find a lot of fun in the Isle of Man.  Opened in 1874, The Isle of Man Steam Railway is the longest narrow gauge steam line in Britain that still uses its original locomotives and carriages.  Perfect for sightseeing across the beautiful Manx countryside, enjoy the ride in the Over the Knee Wedge Boot by Boston Proper

If sheep and locomotives are too tame for you, the Manx enjoy their motorsports too.  The TT and Mnax Grand Prix races are world famous and quad biking, go-karts and trike tours are all available to those trekking to the Isle of Man.  All this adventure calls for an adventurous shoe, so be sure to pack a pair of Converse’s Chuck Taylor All Star Rubber Sneaker.  Now rev up your engines and get to the Isle of Man.

A holiday to the Isle of Man need not make you “Manxious” when it comes to saving money.  We’ve got codes for almost all your travel needs, including the very best footwear around.  Use our codes and pack your bags and head for the Isle of Man!
