Stepping in Style

by Anne Middleton, on March 11th, 2015

Fitbit, known for its fitness products such as activity trackers that measure data such as the number of steps walked and quality of sleep, recently released a survey that showed states where people walk the most.  Drumroll please! The state of New York logged the most legwork!

Total steps were measured in both the winter (January to March) and summer (July through September) months and New Yorkers it seems, ruled the roost. Surprisingly, Minnesota came in 5th in the winter months! To boost those step numbers, hearty Minnesotans who don’t want to sacrifice fashion for function, should check out UGG.  The soft and fuzzy lined boots also come in cold weather styles fashioned with waterproof leather and removable linings to keep you extra warm. The boots also have a special tread on the bottom to prevent slippage on ice.

Socks are another integral part of a walker’s wardrobe. There’s no such thing as “just a pair of socks” at Nike with every length, design and function imaginable, your steps can be stylin’ as you strut your way to fitness.

Speaking of style, Converse’s Chuck Taylors are classic favorites that you can now customize at Converse.com.  Picking from a plethora of shoe styles and colors, you can also add your name, favorite quote or phrase all from a simple online form.  It’s old school meets cyberschool and that makes everyone a winner.  You can even put “Winner” right there on your shoe.

No matter what state you are from, you’ll find that extra exercise, such as walking, will make the pounds drop.  So, when it’s time to dress the new you, check out BostonProper. Their new arrivals are always sporting the latest fashion trend at affordable prices. Trending now! Fringe and Printed Leggings!
