Sugar Plum Fairies Dancing In Your Head

by Anne Middleton, on December 9th, 2015

If sugar plum fairies are dancing in your head, you’re not alone.  Many Americans are going to see The Nutcracker this year.  With over 120 active ballet companies in the U.S., you can be sure that many cities are staging the iconic Nutcracker.  However, what happens if you’re holiday schedule won’t allow for you to spend some time dreaming of candy flutes and Arabian coffee?  There are still ways to enjoy Tchaikovsky’s work without trekking to the theater.

First of all, go to Google Play.  There you’ll find Tchaikovsky’s original music and spirited riffs on it too!  You’ll also find fun e-books for the kids.  If you are taking your tots to the theater, it might be a good idea to acquaint them with the basic storyline beforehand and have the e-book on hand on a Samsung Galaxy TabS2 from T-Mobile

If your kid is one of the 3.5 million taking dance lessons in the USA, it’s very likely they will perform in the Nutcracker at some point.  You’ll want the best devices on hand to capture their performances, and there’s no better camera phone than the iPhone.  Get yours from Verizon and you’ll be able to record their pirouettes and send them to grandma!
