'Tis the Season to be Scary

by Abbey O'Bryan, on October 20th, 2015

‘Tis the season to be scary! Though I’m not a huge fan of being scared, I do love any excuse to play dress up, so Halloween is a personal favorite.  Googling around the cyber world for a costume, I came to two conclusions: 1) Batman and Disney dominate the category, and 2) for women, there’s a “sexy” version of every costume imaginable. Sexy Minnie Mouse, sexy Minion, sexy cupcake (Seriously?! A sexy baked good?!), Sexy Cat in the Hat, and even sexy Elsa from Frozen. This last one is perplexing; as though regular Elsa isn’t sexy? I mean, original Elsa already has a strapless sequined dress with a slit up the thigh. What’s not sexy about that? But I digress.

Back to the scary...another thought occurred to me while surfing the web for Halloween gear: what if a hacker decided to be ME for Halloween? You know, like use my credit card number to buy their costume, and my credit history and social security number to open a couple more credit cards to fund their Thanksgiving and Christmas merriment, too. Now that is truly frightening. And I told you I don’t like to be scared. So McAfee’s Total Protection will be my first online purchase this holiday season! And shortly thereafter, I’ll be sure to add that sexy cupcake costume to my cart. Right now, get 50% off all of McAfee’s top protective computer software, like McAfee All Access, McAfee Internet Security, and McAfee Antivirus Plus with deals from and save the scary for horror movies, zombies, and Donald Trump!
