Top Employment Opportunities Target Nerd Geniuses

Are you passionate about software? If you are fanatical about technology and the development of apps, then 2016 could be a year filled with opportunities and significant salary prospects.

Every year, professional services company Deloitte ranks the fastest-growing North American tech companies in its Fast 500 list.  As Monster.com revealed on their website, the results are in for 2016 and the software industry dominates this year’s top ten.

Although this is not an unusual occurrence, it is amazing to note that there seems to be “no shortage of new and established companies that are unlocking a seemingly unlimited potential for growth and advancement through technology’s continued disruption and proliferation across industries,” Sandra Shirai, a principal at Deloitte stated.

Translated into simple English, this observation is a clear indication that there is seemingly no end to the openings for a career in technology.

Employment options are no longer limited to Silicon Valley and a move to the west coast is not always necessary for top jobs.  In fact, the top 10 growing companies are located from small cities such as Culver City, California to large metropolises including British Columbia and New York.

The good news continues for tech savvy graduates. As reported on Monster.com, the latest salary guide from staffing company Robert Half is predicting a significant boost in pay across the tech industry.

Technology workers are expected to enjoy a 5.3% increase in base salary in 2016, ahead of the 4.1% average projected pay bump predicted for the nation's workforce as a whole.

"Strong demand and a limited supply of professionals with digital competencies have put (these) job seekers in the driver's seat,” said a senior executive director of Robert Half Technology.

This recent survey indicates that if you are a wireless network engineer or data scientist, you might even have a salary increase of over 8% on the horizon.

Nationwide, Monster.com lists over 1000 full-time and part-time tech jobs.  This comprehensive employment website offers valuable advance on negotiating salaries for these positions that are in high demand.

Whether you are interested in emerging technology, software development, systems engineering or other areas which are foreign to most job seekers, Monster should be your first stop for guidance, information and support.
