Weird Car Laws

by Anne Middleton, on July 24th, 2015

We all have laws we think are stupid.  Laws are intended to keep us safe, especially on the road, but a few states have some motor vehicle laws that will make you scratch your head.  Let’s delve into the mystifying world of peculiar state driving laws.

Authorities in Alaska have deemed it illegal to tether a dog to the roof of a car.  One must wonder if cats or other sentient beings are fair game.  Don’t strap Fluffy or Fido the roof your car!  Go to 4 Wheel Parts and check out their pet dividers and pet barriers.  Get 5% off your order using our codes.

In Connecticut, hunting from cars is illegal, even during deer season.  So, making your SUV into some kind of deer blind is a bad idea, especially in Connecticut.  Still, if you’re hunting, you need to be sure your tires are ready for off-roading.  Go to 4 Wheel Drive and check out their array of rugged tires.  You’ll get 5% off using our codes.

Keep your road rage to yourself in Rockville, Maryland.  Swearing while in a vehicle is a ticket-able offense.  Drown out that offensive vocabulary with the Universal Boss Audio Speaker at Auto Parts Warehouse.  Blast some meditation music to distract from your PG 13 rants.  You won’t rant and rave (at least negatively) about getting 15% off and free shipping on your order of $150 or more using our codes.

In Oklahoma, it’s illegal to read a comic book while driving.  Your car may be faster than a speeding bullet, but I would not  risk the police chase if I were you.  You can show off your love of comics with the Chroma Graphics Superman Steel Emblem from Advance Auto.  With our codes, price won’t be your kryptonite, because Advance Auto Parts offers 25% off any order.

We all have tough days on the road.  Keep your driving lawful and avoid awful situations.  We’ll keep you smiling with savings on a myriad of auto needs.  Just don’t strap Fluffy to the top of the car, use your car as a deer blind, cuss too much or read comic books.
