Tax Day is Over

Ahhhh, the perennial procrastination that April 15th brings.  We wash the car.  We organize the closet.  We write the 6 month overdue “Thank You” notes and then we finally fulfill our annual mathematical devoir – taxes! Streaming Your Workout

According to a recent story on “Good Morning America,” more and more people today are staying home and streaming their workouts on YouTube instead of trotting off to the gym or yoga studio.  Definitely closer and far less expensive, YouTube channel workouts may be neoteric but they’re not always prudent.  Just because a video cracks a million hits, doesn’t, necessarily, mean its star ever cracked a Kinesiology textbook. And, while they say you can’t judge a book by its cover.  Similarly, you can’t judge a trainer by his torso.  Make sure that any YouTube coach comes with credentials.

A day of loving our planet occurs on April 22nd…just around the corner from now.  What? You didn’t recall? Well it’s time to rejoice for the annual international Earth Day celebration! This momentous day was initiated in 1970 when tree hugging was considered to be slightly insane and constituted bizarre behavior.  Forty-five years ago it simply was not fashionable to engage in eco-friendly actions to shield our earth from our selfish environmental habits.

Shelby’s young toddler is at that special age where he explores and quite honestly, destroys everything in his path. No one wants to stifle his energetic sense of discovery, but some boundaries are becoming necessary.  The primary focus of this little tyke is to locate and play with the band new Smartphone Shelby procured from Verizon. She couldn’t resist this new electronic masterpiece.  She was actually paid by Verizon to recycle her previous phone when she purchased her new mobile device.  Good for the environment, good for the budget.

Janie always recognized that she would be a wedding planner.  She absolutely thrives on organizing people, events, kitchen cabinets, toys, office supplies, recipes, laundry, shoes and just about anything that will sit still long enough for her to categorize. The Northeastern part of the country has been lambasted this year with unprecedented snowfalls and brobdingnagian storms.  Meteorologists are purloining more TV time than Kanye West at a Grammy podium.  “Will it EVER end?” Scream the folks out east.  Meanwhile record breaking heat and drought are swallowing California.  Normal circadian rhythms?  Perhaps.  Global warming?  Maybe.  But whatever the cause, people are talking about it.  And, while the weather may normally be the thing of superfluous small talk at social gatherings, this confabulation is tinged with desperation.
